Each year, the Department recognizes small business contractors and DHS staff for their exemplary performance from the prior fiscal year. This annual award recognition highlights the achievements of small businesses and small business advocates who provide crucial services to the Department in support of our various missions.
On July 6, 2021, DHS Science & Technology Directorate (S&T) hosted the Insights Outreach webinar featuring the DHS Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program director, who shared insights about how small businesses can participate in the program and how technologies developed through SBIR can support DHS component technology needs.

To harness this potential, DHS grants licenses that allow a company to make, use, and/or sell DHS technologies in the commercial marketplace. The DHS Technology Transfer and Commercialization Program (T2C) maintains a list of DHS technologies available for licensing and manages all licensing activities for DHS.
TIES are a series of nation-wide collaborative events designed to engage, develop and foster relationships while educating innovator communities about DHS.
