Ms. Sara Lynn Colley is the Deputy Assistant Secretary for House Affairs at the Department of Homeland Security. In this role, she is responsible for coordinating legislative efforts and managing the relationship between the Department and the U.S. House of Representatives.

Previously, Colley was the Communications Director for U.S.
Representatives Scott Perry (PA-10) and Doug Lamborn (CO-5). In these capacities Colley managed all messaging efforts, providing guidance and counsel to Members of Congress on intelligence, defense, oversight, foreign affairs, emergency management, and national security matters. Prior to this
work on Capitol Hill, Colley spent six years in the Department of Defense and National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency in various public and legislative affairs roles focused on research, engineering, funding, management, and reform efforts within the executive branch. She was awarded the Medal for
Exceptional Public Service during her time in the Office of the Secretary of Defense.

Prior to her work in the federal government, Colley worked in various public affairs and marketing capacities for the Georgia House of Representatives, nonprofits, and small businesses in Georgia. Colley received her B.S. in Communications from Kennesaw State University.
